The Rattle Battle

Hikaru leaned back against the leather seat of the car, scooting over for his brother as he slipped in after him. As the car door closed with a muffled thunk, he could finally allow himself to unwind a little.
It was finally near the end of a long week.
The boy couldn’t imagine the trouble he went through at the beginning of it, his thoughts rolling over each other as he absently gazed at his twin brother making himself comfortable beside him. Still, he felt it was worth the hubbub.
He sighed, stifling a yawn with his hand. “Kaoru, we need to go out tomorrow,” he mumbled, feeling the binds of boredom setting in. Hikaru had always felt restless whenever he didn’t have anything to do. The feeling increased when he learned that Tamaki was gone until Monday, and now that Friday had set in, he was just a bundle of pent-up energy.
