Wagashi Run
Kyouya Ootori disliked many things in the world. He disliked sweets, and he disliked having to spend so much money on the Host Club’s activities. Some would even say that he disliked Tamaki Suou (which still hadn’t been confirmed to be true).
But he could say for certain that the thing he probably hated the most was how he was dragged out of bed and woken up in the early morning by a certain someone or someones. It seemed to be happening on a more frequent occasion than the Shadow King would have liked, but it had been a full month with that annoying thing not happening. It gave him a relief of knowing that he would not be disturbed while he slept - but the relief was short lived.
A low hiss emitted from Kyouya as he was awoken with a jolt. The last time he checked - his bed didn’t move. He opened his eyes one at a time and a familiar blond haired boy greeted him with a smile from the seat across from him. He glared and said in an annoyed tone, “What now Tamaki?”
Kyouya sat up and straightened the shirt Tamaki had dressed him in. Something told the Shadow King this was going to be another headache of a day.
The Joys of the Internet
In the event you haven’t heard yet, Kyouya-senpai put Hikaru and me in charge of the upkeep of this website. I’m not sure he fully understands what he’s unleashed.
Of course, we have to be sneaky about it. Hikaru is amazing with a computer so we have encoded a bunch of fun programming tricks into the site. Most of them are to annoy Tono. For example, we have arranged so that whenever Tono logs onto the site, the picture we photo-shopped of a half-naked Haruhi floats across the screen. He turns bright red every single time. Then Tono goes and complains to Kyouya-senpai, on a long-distance phone call no less since Kyouya-senpai is away. After each phone call, Tono will go sulk in a corner that Hikaru and I like to call, “The Corner of Woe.â€
I don’t think we will be made to remove our edits though. After all, it’s not like we’re doing anything to annoy customers and Kyouya-senpai has so much to worry about with his trip and I don’t think he wants more things to do.
Speaking of which, there has been a small disturbance in the club over the FAQ section. There were some questions asked of Haruhi which Tono found a bit…offensive. When Kyouya-senpai insisted that the questions must be answered, Tono demanded the club hold a vote to decide on whether that section should be kept. Hunny-senpai and Mori-senpai didn’t really care one way or the other, seeing as they haven’t even received one question. Kyouya-senpai was completely for keeping the section and Tono was completely against it.
We wanted to add our own special blend to the voting. Hikaru voted for it and I voted to remove it, which left Haruhi with the deciding vote. Then we got to spend an hour watching Tono do everything in his power to convince Haruhi to vote his way. By the end of it, Haruhi was so upset at him that I don’t think Tono will be leaving his “Corner†for at least a week.
In case you were wondering, Haruhi decided that we should keep the section. I’m not entirely sure why since she has complained about how much of her time it takes up, but I did see this particularly evil glint in Kyouya-senpai’s eyes.
The drama of the host club never stops.
Keeping Tono preoccupied
It was really boring when Tono had to stay away from school because he was sick. I thought it was pretty selfish of him to just keep the illness to himself. It would have been amusing to see everyone suddenly not show up in class all because of Tono who infected them all.
Nevertheless, he’s back now and in his place of absence goes Kyouya-senpai to Europe with his father. It has been a week since the club’s second-in-command and financier (I learned this word from Kaoru) left to embark on said trip, and it’s been a week since Tono started spacing out all of a sudden.
Kaoru and I felt sorry for Tono since he obviously missed Kyouya-senpai a lot.

So Kaoru and I decided to cheer him up a little last Friday by throwing a goo-filed balloon at him during club activities. Then on Monday, Kaoru dropped a bucket of paint over him. On Tuesday, we glued his shoes to the floor. Wednesday was when we took a little break by putting on different wigs for no apparent reason.
Haruhi in a Victorian coifed wig was interesting, but Mori-senpai and Honey-senpai in matching afros took the cake.
Yesterday, we took the leftover glue we had from Tuesday and pasted on some mushrooms to his school blazer when he left it on the couch.
In the end we had our fun, and Tono got to spend more time with Kyouya-senpai on the phone. Everyone’s happy. I just hope Kyouya-senpai comes back soon, though. Tono’s becoming a handful.
